He had previously scored in good style at Wolverhampton and with a capable rider booked to deliver him late again, he looks firmly on the shortlist to get his head back in front.

FOREST CAPER gets another chance to finally get his head in front and this looks a decent opportunity back up to 1m2f at a track that should suit. He produced arguably his best run over this trip at Doncaster, has shown he can go well on a synthetic surface, and a return to this venue could be just what he needs. With conditions in his favour, he’s capable of putting in a big run despite his long wait for a win.

INSPIRED looks a horse with plenty of ability starting out in handicaps after costing 300,000 guineas and winning impressively over this course and distance in December. He shaped well again when trying to concede weight to a smart rival here last month, suggesting the form is stronger than it first appears. Now beginning life off a mark of 79, he looks potentially well treated and capable of making his class tell with further progress to come.
